Mary Gerdts is founder, CEO & President of two companies in the electronic transactions industry, POST Integrations, Inc. and EboCom,
LLC. Founded in 1991, POST Integrations provides credit card processing services exclusively to the hospitality industry. EboCom is a financial technology company founded in 2000 that provides full service back-office transaction processing. Ms. Gerdts’s visionary leadership in business, innovation and technology led to her being nominated for Fortune’s' "Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs."
Ms. Gerdts has over 30 years of experience in the electronic transactions industry and has been an active member of the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) since 1991. ETA is the global trade association that represents payment and technology companies. Ms. Gerdts served on the ETA Board of Directors for 10 years and served as ETA’s national President from 2002-
2003 and was instrumental in ETA establishing its headquarters and presence in Washington, DC. In 2004, Ms. Gerdts received the highly distinguished ETA Member of the Year award for her passion and commitment to the industry. As a noted industry expert, Ms. Gerdts was chosen to represent ETA on Capitol Hill at ETA's premier Government Outreach Day. In 2019, Ms. Gerdts was honored with ETA’s highest recognition by being inducted into the ETA Hall of Fame, which recognizes visionary leaders who have established an enduring legacy through their indisputable innovation, contribution and impact to the payments industry.
Ms. Gerdts has also been a member in the society of Hospitality Financial & Technology Professionals (HFTP) since 1990. She served as President of the Phoenix Chapter for two terms, from 1998–2000 and served on the Board of Directors from 1996-2001. As President, her chapter received the HFTP Chapter of the Year Award as well as receiving numerous HFTP Chapter Choice Awards. In 2017, Ms. Gerdts received the prestigious lifetime HFTP Paragon Award which recognizes individuals who have made a significant and lasting contribution to both HFTP and the hospitality industry. It is rare that a non-hotel person is recognizes for this award and POST Integrations has been privileged to have two representatives receive this award over the past 10 years.
Ms. Gerdts is also one of the founders of Wnet, the national association of Women’s Network in Electronic Transactions, which was founded in 2005. Ms. Gerdts served as the Executive Director of the association from 2005-2008 and assumed the role of President of the organization in 2008. During her year as President, Ms. Gerdts established Wnet’s first multiday conference entitled “Designer BootCamp Career Development and Leadership Summit” along with Wnet LINCs, “Local Interest Networking Circles” that provide women access to local meetings and programs across the country. Ms. Gerdts also established the Wnet DIVA Awards, “Driving Improvement Via Action” which honor the outstanding achievements of individuals and companies who demonstrate an unwavering commitment to inspire and empower women in the electronic transactions industry. |
